The pictures are great, but when will anyone in the media ever cover issues of veterans dating back to WWII?
Many are due benefits, medical treatment, facilities, medications, therapy, and that list goes on and on, yet our wonderful Government always under-funds the VA system, and the VA system continually denies benefits to Veterans, their spouses, and children.
Thousands and thousands of Viet Nam Veterans suffer horrific illnesses from serving our country, were exposed to depleted uranium, Agent Orange, and countless other chemicals and were never warned or told about what damage it could do to their bodies, or be passed on to their spouse, and in turn their children.
Why is it that media will cover something like this, yet not once ever cover the issues pertaining to Americans, veterans who fought to keep our country safe? FREEDOM IS NOT FREE, there is a price to be paid, and our veterans paid that price, some with their lives, and some still to this day who will eventually die and our country doesn't care.
They discard them like used up, no longer needed equipment.
We have 133 Military bases now called by the EPA Superfund bases meaning they're chemically contaminated, yet the government and military do nothing to inform those who served or work on those bases of TCE or PCE contamination which causes many illnesses and birth defects.
We're so eager to help foreign countries who don't give a damn about our way of life, or any war or cause the USA steps into, so why do we continually do this too?
Congress passes many bills, which are signed into law by the President, yet they always find ways to NOT fulfill those laws such as the WALL not a cheesy fence on the US/Mexican border.
I challenge any one in the media to contact me, discuss what a group called Veterans-ForChange is doing, has done, and will continue to do that not one media outlet has ever bothered to pick up. Their website can be located at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VETERANS-FOR-CHANGE/
I'd also like to see Media coverage as to what veterans suffer daily, why they become so discouraged that they stop fighting for what was promised them. But chances are, it's just not news worthy enough for them, or they don't have the real balls it takes to show the American people how these men and women fought, gave all they had, and followed the orders of the President of the United States and Congress to keep us safe from harm, and protect our rights, freedoms and way of life!
Thank you.
